Home Theater Stadium Seating
Stadium seating for home theaters is pretty much the same as the general setup of stadiums. In stadium seating, the rows at the back are elevated to allow the best line-of-sight. In a home setting, the line of sight is with the high-definition television in front of you.
Seating platforms are used to achieve stadium seating for home theaters. And there are a couple of considerations in installing seating platforms, especially if you intend to do it yourself.
1. You would need to measure everything carefully. Ideally, you should always measure twice to be sure of the dimensions you get. A good stadium setup should allow enough room for the home theater seating, ample leg space for the user, and enough back space for recliners.
2. Be sure of the number of rows you want to have, and whether or not this can fit in your home theater. Plan carefully by listing your needs and wants.
3. Consider the other things you can do when you set up platform seating. You can gear it up with bass shakers and additional speakers. And although this may take additional time, not to mention that these items will eat up a bit more of your budget, it might be worth it to have them.
There are several ready-made platforms you can buy from any hardware store and just install in your home theater. This makes this end of our job a lot easier. We can just focus on gearing up the room (with bass shakers and extra speakers, perhaps?). However, if you intend to get pre-made platforms, you need to be doubly sure about the measurements of your room and your home theater seating.
